Level 1/2 – English & Maths

This course is recommended for learners who are aiming to meet university entry requirements for GCSE or are preparing to apply for the Access course. This is flexible course which is suitable to meet learner’s needs. This qualification is nationally recognised by colleges, universities and employers as an equivalent to GCSE.

Functional Skills Maths

The purpose of the Functional Skills Math Level 1/2 qualification is to prepare the learner for work, study, and life. Learners who achieve this qualification will demonstrate the ability to calculate with fractions, decimals and percentages, how to create tables and charts, how to use metric measurement and how to work out averages, amongst other things. Learners will be able to apply these skills effectively to a range of purposes in the workplace and in real life situations. Our functional skills qualifications are nationally recognised and are equivalent to GCSE Level. Level 1 qualification is equivalent to GCSE grade D-G.
